Conversation at the heart of Baba Indaba
Issued by: Baba Indaba Expo

Why is it that parents always have such strong opinions on rearing children? Most will vehemently defend their views on sleeping patterns, nutrition, discipline, etc, and then complain how difficult it is to know what to do - "No-one ever teaches us how to handle this." Sound familiar? Why not pay a visit to a blog site specifically aimed at the baby world and open the topic up to the world.

"What exactly is a 'blog'?" many of you might ask yourselves. A 'weblog', commonly shortened to a blog, is an online/web-based publication consisting of periodic articles, topics and personal advice. Some blogs may function as online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.

Baba Indaba, has launched an online baby blog for interested parents and marketers. Chris Naude of Baba Indaba wanted to offer the public, and especially parents, a platform to air their views and concerns about babies and young children. Chris states, "Baba Indaba's vision of interactivity and education is an integral part of the expo, as is offering parents a place to air their views and concerns about babies and young children. This is our part of the ongoing strategy of fostering discussion between visitors and our exhibitors."

The web is an overflowing fountain of knowledge to offer browsers but there is nothing quite like real life advice and views which can always be found in a blog. So all you soon-to-be parents and parents of young children, visit Baby Blog  to have your say on the first exclusive South African Baby Blog site.

Baba Indaba will hit Cape Town in July (28 -30 July 2006) at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and Johannesburg in November 2006.
